How this list is kept. We compile it from each exchange's own pages, linked on every card, and we don't test each fact ourselves: confirm on the exchange's site before you rely on it. "Not confirmed" on a card means the exchange's own pages haven't settled that point for us yet, not that it can't do it. A card's note gives the fees and limits its pages state; "Smallest Lightning amount" is the least it sends or receives over Lightning. Featured exchanges, listed first, are the ones customers can pay from in the most countries SatsRail serves: an editorial choice, never paid. A listing is information, not advice. Something wrong, or an exchange missing? .

Take these payments. A customer pays your checkout's Lightning QR from any exchange above that pays invoices, or from a wallet, and the bitcoin goes straight to your wallet. Free up to — a month in bitcoin payments, 0% per payment, no card on file.

AT YOUR CHECKOUT

How customers pay you
from an exchange.

  1. 01

    They hold bitcoin

On an exchange that pays Lightning invoices, or in any Lightning wallet.

  2. 02

    They scan your QR

At your POS, your online checkout or a payment link. Each shows a Lightning invoice, so an exchange that pays invoices but not Lightning Addresses works too. The exchange sends the payment over the Lightning Network.

  3. 03

    You're paid

Once the exchange sends it, the bitcoin usually reaches your wallet in seconds, and SatsRail confirms the payment to you. Some exchanges add their own delays, as their cards say. It is final: no chargebacks.

New to Lightning? How Lightning payments work.

SatsRail checkout: the price, a Lightning QR the customer scans from an exchange or wallet app, and the payment status. Sample data; not a payable invoice.
Your checkout as customers see it: they scan the QR in their exchange's app. Sample data.

CASH OUT

Sell bitcoin for
your currency.

Your customers pay you in bitcoin, straight to your own wallet. Keep it, or sell some for dollars, pesos or your own currency through an exchange. SatsRail never converts or holds your funds, so you choose when and where.

Countries where an exchange's own pages show a cash-out to a local bank: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and the United States.

Selling costs something. To cover it, you can add a conversion fee of up to 3% to bitcoin payments; checkout shows it as its own line.

  1. 01

    Pick an exchange

One that serves your country, with "Takes Lightning deposits: Yes" and your country under "Cash out in" on its card. Where none pays out to a local bank yet, the directory names a peer-to-peer market instead. Most exchanges will ask you to verify your identity.

  2. 02

    Deposit over Lightning

Create a Lightning deposit in the exchange and pay it from your wallet. It usually arrives in seconds.

  3. 03

    Sell and withdraw

Sell the bitcoin for your currency and withdraw to your bank account.

Before you choose, check

  • Lightning deposits, not only Lightning payments out
  • Your currency and a bank payout
  • Trading fee and the gap between buy and sell prices
  • Identity checks and limits

QUESTIONS

Questions about exchanges
and getting paid.

Can customers pay me straight from an exchange?

Yes, if their exchange pays Lightning invoices: "Customers can pay you from it" on each card says whether the exchange's own pages show it. Your checkout, POS and payment links show a Lightning invoice, so an exchange that pays invoices but not Lightning Addresses can pay you too. They scan your Lightning QR in the exchange's app and the exchange sends the payment to your wallet. Some exchanges have a smallest amount they will send; where their pages state one, it is on the card.

How do I sell bitcoin for dollars or my local currency?

Use an exchange that serves your country, takes Lightning deposits and pays out to a bank in your country; each card shows which of those the exchange's own pages state, and the directory says, country by country, where a listed exchange cashes out to a local bank. Create a Lightning deposit in the exchange, pay it from your wallet, sell the bitcoin for your currency, and withdraw to your bank. Check the exchange's fees, the gap between its buy and sell prices, its limits and its identity checks first.

What if no exchange pays out in my country yet?

Then your country has no "Cash out to a local bank" line in the directory, and the note above the countries names a peer-to-peer market that serves most countries (RoboSats, today): there you sell sats to a buyer who pays you directly, in a currency you agree on (check your local rules before you sell business revenue that way). You can also keep the bitcoin until you need to sell. we should check.

Does SatsRail convert bitcoin for me?

No. SatsRail confirms payments to your own wallet and never holds or converts funds. Whether you keep the bitcoin or sell it, and where, is up to you. To cover what selling costs you, you can add a conversion fee of up to 3% to bitcoin payments; checkout shows it as its own line.

Do I need an exchange account to use SatsRail?

No. To get paid you need a Lightning wallet, connected by Lightning Address (see wallet setup). An exchange is only for customers who buy bitcoin there, or for you if you want to sell.

Why aren't Binance, OKX or Bitfinex listed?

We list an exchange once its own pages show that it pays Lightning invoices or takes Lightning deposits in a country SatsRail serves. Here is where these stand:

  • Binance: its Lightning page says Lightning is off in some regions without naming them, so its pages don't show which of these countries have it.
  • OKX: it documents Lightning, but we haven't yet confirmed that it works in the countries SatsRail serves.
  • Bitfinex: it has Lightning, but the pages we found don't list the countries it serves.
  • Bull Bitcoin: customers can't pay you from it, and we haven't confirmed its Lightning sells since its app's Lightning stopped for two weeks in August 2026.
  • Bitget: Lightning suspended since August 27, 2026.
  • Revolut: Lightning announced in May 2025, never documented as live.
  • SideShift.ai: removed Lightning in March 2024.

if one has changed.

Can my exchange's Lightning Address be my SatsRail wallet?

Only if the provider behind it supports LUD-21, the Lightning standard SatsRail uses to confirm that each payment arrived. When you add a Lightning Address, SatsRail checks that it can request invoices and verify payments, and tells you if it can't. The wallet setup guide lists options that work.

What does Featured mean?

Featured exchanges, listed first, are the ones customers can pay from in the most countries SatsRail serves. Choosing them is our editorial call, and placement is never paid. Every listing is information, not advice.
